DAOS HUB MEMBERSHIP RULES

Welcome to Daos Hub! We're thrilled to have you as part of our community. Our mission is to build the most vibrant startup ecosystem in Dubai — a place that gathers top talent building breakthrough technologies. At the heart of Daos Hub is not just an inspiring physical space, but a carefully curated network of founders, creatives, and innovators. Together, we're creating a trusted environment where meaningful connections, high-quality interactions, and industry-shaping ideas thrive.

To keep things running smoothly and ensure a safe, respectful, and inspiring environment for all, we’ve put together a few important rules. By accessing or using any part of Daos Hub, you agree to follow these House Rules

These rules apply to all individuals and organizations using our space — including members, employees, guests, and visitors ("you" or "members").

  1. General Behavior & Community Etiquette
    • Treat everyone — fellow members, guests, and staff — with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
    • Use the space as a professional office environment. Activities that are disruptive, unsafe, or not aligned with this use are not allowed.
    • Illegal, offensive, or unsafe behavior is strictly prohibited , in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
    • In line with UAE legislation, weapons, hazardous materials, and explosive substances are not allowed on the premises under any circumstances.
    • All members and guests are required to comply with fire safety regulations, sanitary and hygiene standards, and noise level limits in accordance with the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates. Failure to follow these requirements may result in warnings, fines, or termination of membership rights.
    • Smoking or vaping is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
    • Daos Hub does not encourage alcohol or any other drugs consumption in social or shared areas. You are fully responsible for ensuring that any team members or guests also follow this guideline.
  2. Space Usage Guidelines
    • Reservations: Book meeting rooms and shared spaces in advance. Use only during your reserved time.
    • Time Limits: Be mindful of time. Finish on schedule and allow for smooth transitions.
    • Noise: Keep noise levels reasonable and use headphones. Use phone booths or meeting rooms for calls, and avoid parties and loud meetings in your dedicated office spaces.
    • Cleanliness: Leave all spaces clean and tidy. Take personal items with you.
    • Shared Equipment: Use printers, kitchen appliances, and furniture with care. Report any damage.
    • Persons using our space may not, without our prior approval, operate any equipment in our space that has a higher heat output or electrical consumption than in a typical office environment or places excessive strain on our electrical, IT, HVAC or structural systems.
    • Use shared areas and equipment responsibly. Don’t monopolize resources like phone booths, printers, or kitchen appliances.
    • Limit use of phone booths to 1 hour at a time.
    • Personal items should not be stored in common areas. While you are using Daos Hub, you are responsible for your personal property. Daos Hub will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
  3. Guests & Visitors
    • Guest Registration: You must register all guests through the guest-form or communicate to the Community Manager on duty at least 2 hours prior to your guest's visit. Guests are required to check-in at the front desk, and we will notify you of their arrival. Guests will not be allowed on your floor until you have been properly notified. Guests may be required to show a valid, government-issued photo ID and/or perform additional required steps according to our policies.
    • The number of guests is limited to your dedicated office Full time cards capacity or the number of people permitted in the booked meeting room, and the guests only will be permitted to access the Daos Hub during such booking period.
    • Guests must be accompanied by a Daos hub member or Community manager at all times and are not permitted to use the common spaces alone, including after a meeting room booking period. Guests are not permitted for Hot Desk or Meeting Room, Zoom booth bookings except they are using Daily Path under your current membership agreement.
    • You are responsible for your guests while they are in the Daos hub. Daos hub reserves the right to restrict access to guests in the event such access or use of the Hub space violates these Membership Rules or the terms of your current agreement.
    • Children are only permitted if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and must remain supervised at all times.
  4. Deliveries & Security
    • Deliveries: Couriers and delivery personnel are not permitted beyond the front desk. Please inform all delivery personnel to come directly to the 51st floor reception upon arrival.
    • Mail & Packages: Mail services are only available to members with a dedicated package service as part of their membership. We may return or dispose of uncollected items after 30 days (packages) or 60 days (mail).
    • Keycards: Your access card is personal and non-transferable. Don’t share it or copy it. Lost cards must be reported immediately. Replacement fees may apply.
    • Access: Don’t allow others to "tailgate" into secure areas. Kindly direct unregistered individuals to the front desk.
    • Surveillance: For your safety, common areas may be monitored by security cameras.
  5. Information Security & Network Use
    • Device Use: Only authorized personal and professional devices may be connected to Daos Hub’s network. Installation of unauthorized routers, IoT devices, or any equipment that may interfere with our systems is strictly prohibited.
    • Network Conduct: Any form of cyberattack, including but not limited to DDoS attacks, unauthorized access attempts, data scraping, or network sniffing, is forbidden and will result in immediate termination of membership and may involve legal action.
    • Respect for Privacy: Do not attempt to access or interfere with other members’ data, communications, or digital equipment.
    • Compliance: All digital activity must comply with applicable UAE laws on data protection, cybersecurity, and telecommunications.
  6. Collaboration, Privacy & Respect
    • Encourage networking and collaboration — this is what makes Daos Hub special.
    • Respect others’ privacy and confidentiality, especially in shared areas.
    • Do not share sensitive company information unless you have appropriate consent.
  7. Non-compete & Non-solicitation
    • Non-solicitation: We’re all here to build — not compete for talent. Members, including all employees, contractors, or representatives of member companies, are strictly prohibited from directly or indirectly soliciting, approaching, recruiting, or hiring any team members (employees, contractors, or consultants) of other member companies within Daos Hub — whether for employment, freelance projects, or advisory roles. Despite it being approved by Company management before such communication.
    • Healthy Boundaries: We believe in collaboration over competition. If you’re exploring partnerships that involve talent sharing or team transitions, please ensure there’s clear, mutual agreement between all parties involved.
    • Trust First: Daos Hub runs on trust. Poaching talent or building a competing product while embedded in the community damages that trust — and could lead to termination of your membership.
  8. Maintenance, Modifications & Special Requests
    • Don’t rearrange Daos Hub furniture, install equipment, or make modifications without prior written approval.
    • Large deliveries, events, or anything requiring special setup must be coordinated in advance with the Community Team.
    • Please treat all Daos Hub facilities, furniture, and equipment with care. Any items provided to you for temporary use must be returned in the same condition. If something is lost, stolen, or damaged (whether through misuse or negligence), you will be charged for repair or replacement.
    • Any damage caused by a member or their guest must be reported immediately. Members are responsible for repair or replacement costs incurred by the Daos hub or subcontractors.
  9. Prohibited Activities
    • Smoking or vaping indoors
    • Use or possession of illegal substances
    • Disruptive behavior, harassment, or discrimination of any kind
    • Bringing pets (excluding certified service animals where legally permitted)
    • Use of heavy machinery or equipment beyond normal office usage
    • Unauthorized filming or photography. If you plan to engage in photo or video recording within the Daos hub, you may need to obtain approval from the management. This is to ensure the privacy and consent of individuals present and to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information that may be captured.
    • Placement and distribution of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, or posters, or shared screens. Marketing materials require approval from the management. This ensures that the materials comply with branding guidelines, content policies, and aesthetic standards of Daos Hub.
    • Unauthorized gatherings or after-hours use
    • Accessing other members’ offices or belongings without permission
  10. Health & Safety
    • If you’re feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness, please stay home.
    • Follow all health and safety guidelines posted on site.
    • In case of an emergency, follow staff instructions and use marked exits.
  11. Term & Changes to Rules
    • These rules apply for the duration of your sublease, membership or any visit to Daos Hub.
    • We may update these rules from time to time. We'll notify you via email, messenger, website, or through our community app.
  12. Governing Law & Disputes
    • These House Rules are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai, UAE.
    • We aim to resolve disputes amicably within a reasonable timeframe. If needed, unresolved disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
